How accessible this site is

Conformance status

This site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA. "Partially conforms" means most of the standard is met but some parts have not yet been independently verified. I am not claiming full conformance, because a full claim requires a complete audit against every success criterion and that has not been carried out by a third party.

What has been done

• All text and background colour combinations tested and brought to at least 4.5:1 against WCAG 1.4.3. Interface components and form borders meet the 3:1 requirement of 1.4.11.
• Heading structure reviewed so that levels follow a logical sequence without skipping, including in the footer.
• No paragraphs styled to imitate headings — section headings are real heading elements, so screen reader heading navigation works.
• A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
• Visible focus indicators throughout, using a 2px outline with an offset rather than removing the default.
• The services menu is a real button with aria-expanded, operable by keyboard, closable with Escape.
• Form fields have persistent visible labels associated with for and id, not placeholder text acting as a label.
• Language declared on every page with lang, and inline foreign-language titles marked with their own lang attribute so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
• Content reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling at 320px width and at 400% zoom.
• Decorative images have empty alt attributes; the portrait is described where it carries meaning.
• prefers-reduced-motion respected — the only animation on the site is disabled for users who ask for that.

Known limitations

Being honest about these is the point of a statement:

• My CV is a PDF and has not been remediated for accessibility. It may not have a proper tag structure, reading order or document language set. If you need my CV in an accessible format, email me and I will send it as HTML or plain text the same day.
• No independent third-party audit has been carried out. Everything above is self-assessed. Self-assessment finds fewer problems than an outside pair of eyes — which is exactly the argument I make on my own audit page.
• Screen reader testing has not covered every combination. Checks were done with a subset of screen reader and browser pairings, not all of them.
• Third-party content. Fonts load from Google Fonts and outbound links go to sites I do not control. I cannot make any guarantee about the accessibility of external destinations.

This site is a private business site, not a public sector body, so the Czech accessibility act (zákon č. 99/2019 Sb.) does not impose a legal obligation on it. I publish this statement voluntarily. If you are unhappy with my response, you are welcome to say so publicly — for someone selling accessibility work, that is the real enforcement mechanism.
